The production of colored layered crystal is a complex process in which top-quality clear lead crystal is combined with a colored layer. It begins with the creation of a beechwood mold that determines the final shape of the product. In the glassworks, glassmakers hand-blow and shape the molten crystal. The semi-finished product then goes to the grinding wheel where the edges are cleaned. In the drawing workshop, workers sketch the lines of the decoration, which are then precisely cut by the most skilled masters in the cutting shop. After polishing, which enhances the shine and depth of the decor, each piece is carefully packaged and prepared for shipping. The entire process is entirely manual, ensuring the uniqueness of each piece and reflecting the rich tradition of Czech glassmaking.
