Precise Production Process

The production of colored layered crystal is a complex process in which clear lead crystal of the highest quality is fused with a colored layer. It begins with creating a mold from beech wood that defines the final shape of the product. In the glassworks, glassmakers hand-blow and shape the molten crystal. The semi-finished piece is then taken to a grinding wheel, where the edges are refined. In the design studio, decorators sketch the lines of the motif, which are then meticulously cut by the most experienced craftsmen in the cutting room. After polishing, which enhances the shine and depth of the design, each piece is carefully packed and prepared for shipping. The entire process is exclusively manual, ensuring the uniqueness of every piece and reflecting the rich tradition of Czech glassmaking.
