Precise Manufacturing Process

The production of colored layered crystal is a complex process in which high-quality clear lead crystal is fused with a colored layer. It begins with the creation of a mold from beech wood that defines the final shape of the product. In the glassworks, glassmakers hand-blow and shape the hot crystal. The semi-finished product is then taken to a grinding wheel, where the edges are refined. In the design studio, workers sketch the decorative lines, which are then precisely engraved by the most skilled artisans. After polishing—which enhances the shine and depth of the decoration—each piece is carefully packed and prepared for shipment. The entire process is purely manual, ensuring the uniqueness of every product and reflecting the rich tradition of Czech glassmaking.
